Kait's Bio

Kait Rosa is a 32-year-old woman of color, with her own experiences of mental health and substance misuse starting from early childhood. Those turbulent experiences shaped her into becoming passionate about the overall mental wellbeing of the people around her and in the world. Upon pursuing mental and behavioral health education and training in Baltimore City and surrounding counties, Kait has spent the last eight years as a beacon of hope by providing mental health services to underserved communities. From utilizing the sharing of her own personal experiences through speech in classrooms and conferences, to setting a standard of authenticity in clinical practice while maintaining ethical boundaries, Kait is a tremendous example of a genuine social worker that lives the principles she guides others in instilling.

As both a remarkable human being and licensed clinical social worker Kait brings remarkable value to Be Limitless in her own way. As a co-founder and speaker in Konnect the Dots Inc, an educational outreach organization centered around strategies for self-care and using vulnerability to relate to the youth, Kait utilizes personal testimony of lived experiences in overcoming all major forms of abuse and most traumas. Kaits personal grit, resilience and perception of her challenges have helped her shape into the courageous fighter that can relate to the underdog experience of many. Her choice in using her own adverse circumstances as a catalyst for transformation of self helps her be the guide to a path of empowerment for others. At Be Limitless, she serves as a grounded balance between the ambitious pursuit of her dreams in a way that's completely her own and the scholarly academic historian hungry to learn more and apply the knowledge practically. Through her own journey of self-discovery and triumph after overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds, Kait is a true example of authentic limitless in action.

About Us

The power of Trusting the Gut. Where it all began

Sean here. This part had to come from my perspective lol. Heather hired Kait and I for our first jobs ever in mental health in February of 2016. She said she had a gut feeling and went with it (sound familiar?;) Our own raw intuition paired nicely with Heather's technical expertise and refined emotional intelligence. Heather was the builder and the visionary of a residential crisis program in Maryland, and she saw something in both of us. The 24/7 program provided help to folks experiencing mental health crises in the comfort of a residential setting. It made for a beautiful place to teach life skills or even enjoy smores in the backyard during the summer with clients. I made $12 an hour and Kait $12.50 because of her bachelor's degree (a whopping 50 cents more thank you mental health system.) We weren't there for the money. It was our calling.  Our purpose. Our beginning.
